      • Medicare Supplement Plan D is designed to help cover some of the out-of-pocket costs associated with Original Medicare (Parts A and B).
      • It typically covers:
        • Medicare Part A coinsurance and hospital costs.
        • Medicare Part B coinsurance.
        • The Medicare Part A deductible.
        • Skilled nursing facility care coinsurance.
        • Hospice care coinsurance or copayments.
        • The first three pints of blood.
        • Foreign travel emergency care.
